What this tool actually does

Extract audio from supported video files using only the output formats backed by real encoders.

Decodes the video containers your own browser can decode, because extraction runs through the Web Audio API: MKV and AVI are not guaranteed.

Writes only WAV, AIFF and MP3, the three containers with a real encoder in this build; the remaining outputs the interface lists produce no bytes of their own.

Resamples to 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96 or 192 kHz through an OfflineAudioContext, falling back to linear interpolation when that context is unavailable.

Exports WAV at 16, 24 or 32-bit float, keeps 16 or 24 bits in AIFF and ignores PCM depth entirely for MP3.

Optional peak normalisation drives the loudest sample to −0.1 dBFS when you tick the checkbox.

Applies triangular TPDF dither only on the 16-bit WAV path; AIFF and MP3 are never dithered.
