Supported formats: WAV MP3 AIFF

What this tool actually does

Shape frequency balance with the bands, filter types and controls that are actually available in the EQ.

The equalizer has exactly 7 bands: by default a low cut at 30 Hz, a low shelf at 100 Hz, three bells at 350, 1200 and 3800 Hz, a high shelf at 8500 Hz and a high cut at 19000 Hz.

Five filter types are implemented — low cut (high-pass), low shelf, bell (peaking), high shelf and high cut (low-pass) — and mapBandTypeToBiquad turns each one into a BiquadFilterNode.

Every band is tunable from 20 Hz to 20 000 Hz, the same range the interactive curve is drawn and labelled on (20 Hz to 20 kHz).

Each band applies between -18 dB and +18 dB of gain, in 0.5 dB steps.

The Q control sets the bandwidth of every band from 0.1 to 12.0.

The plugin draws an interactive frequency-response curve with draggable band nodes and a real-time spectrum canvas fed by analyserNode.getByteFrequencyData.

The band chain is applied to the exported audio as BiquadFilterNodes in the offline render and also runs realtime during playback; the mix is exported as WAV, MP3 or AIFF.
