Audio Fade & Crossfade Online

Create fades and crossfades using the curves and export formats that exist in the current implementation.

Supported formats: WAV MP3 AIFF

What this tool actually does

Create fades and crossfades using the curves and export formats that exist in the current implementation.

Fade In is real: its default length is 2.5 s and the renderer schedules an entry gain curve on the track node, both during playback and in the export.

Fade Out is real too: it defaults to 3.0 s and is applied as a descending gain curve before the end of the track.

The crossfade defaults to 4.0 s and never exceeds the shorter track: its length is clamped to the smallest of the two scaled durations and the curve generator builds the transition.

Curves are selectable: fades offer linear, exponential, s-curve and logarithmic, and crossfades offer equal-power, linear, exponential and s-curve, with a tension control that bends the shape.

Exports WAV, MP3 or AIFF: the master is rendered offline and encoded with encodePcmToWav, encodePcmToMp3 or encodePcmToAiff, then downloaded in the browser with no upload to any server.
