Control peaks with the ceiling and limiter behavior actually implemented, without claiming true-peak protection unless verified.

Supported formats: WAV MP3 AIFF

What this tool actually does

Control peaks with the ceiling and limiter behavior actually implemented, without claiming true-peak protection unless verified.

The ceiling is the maximum output level in dBFS: ceilingDb defaults to -0.2 dB and the limiter clamps the signal to it on export.

The threshold, thresholdDb (default -2.0 dB), sets where limiting begins, so peaks below it pass untouched and only what crosses it is held down.

Lookahead, lookaheadSec (default 3 ms, taken from limiterParams.lookaheadMs / 1000), opens a short delay so a peak is caught before it reaches the ceiling instead of being clipped.

Release, releaseSec (default 50 ms, taken from limiterParams.releaseMs / 1000), sets how quickly gain returns to unity after a peak is controlled.

The limited render is written as WAV, MP3 or AIFF and downloaded in the browser from the plugin export button, while bypass returns the untouched buffer.
