Statement of Simplicity
At Deckmatics, we do not deploy cross-site tracking cookies, covert behavioral beacons, or device fingerprinting. All application state relies on strictly technical, in-browser storage mechanisms.
1. What is a Cookie and What Technologies Do We Use?
A cookie is a small plain-text record written to your web browser to identify sessions or retain user configurations.
Instead of intrusive server cookies, Deckmatics relies exclusively on:
- Volatile Memory (RAM): During audio analysis, decoded PCM frames and FFT matrices reside strictly within the ephemeral memory of your active browser tab. Closing or reloading the tab immediately clears all memory.
- Local Storage (localStorage / sessionStorage): Used minimally for non-identifying technical preferences (e.g., the interface language you chose). Contains zero Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

3. Consent Management Platform (CMP) & Ethical Monetization
To guarantee sustainable operations without ever compromising audio fidelity or user privacy, Deckmatics adheres to the IAB Europe TCF v2.2 framework and Google Consent Mode v2:
- By default, all advertising and measurement signals start denied, before any Google script executes.
- The Google AdSense loader is downloaded on every page, because it is the mechanism by which Google verifies the site and delivers the consent message. Until you grant consent those signals remain
deniedand advertising personalisation is not enabled. - Our local-processing design keeps audio off the network: no audio samples and no library metadata are transmitted, with or without advertising consent.
4. How to Inspect or Erase Local Data
You can wipe locally saved preferences at any time through standard browser controls:
- Chrome / Edge / Brave: Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
